Weekenders

Well, folks, today I came to the realization that we are weekend people.  Meaning that the majority of our events fall on the days of Saturday-Sunday.  Things are pretty low key Monday-Friday (until 5:00 pm) and then it's time for us to party.  Most of my blog posts are on things that happen on weekends, but who really wants to know what we do during the week? Work. gym. cuddle. eat. Netflix. sleep. R-E-P-E-A-T. On this particular weekend we went to the farmer's market down the street from us. It hasn't picked up yet for the summer season so things were...well...I got some cute pictures out of it!

 {Swinging with this cutie!}

{Spying on this cutie! hahaha he didn't know I was taking pictures of him.}

Then my cutie husband surprised and took me on a date to see the Memphis Symphony Orchestra! They performed Beethoven's No. 9 and the conductor was amazing.  Why would I possibly be commenting on the conductor? This lady is entertaining and energetic. You can tell she is feeling that music.

{Featuring the best looking couple...that camera can't even handle us}

Now, time to watch a sappy movie because that's what I'm in the mood for and not thinking about Monday.

Ruthie

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I HAD to post about my MIL! Ruthie is the sweetest with the biggest heart.  I'm blessed and lucky to call her mama. She was in town for Easter this year and we spent it by visiting Elvis' home. It seems to me that everyone is really getting into technology because the tour was self guided, and had John Stamos doing a voice over on the Ipad that guided you as you went through the house.  Elvis is one cool dude and I was fascinated by his home and his music.

You can't go to Memphis without getting a taste of BBQ.  Ruthie LOVED the ribs at Central BBQ and we even got a chance to talk to the owner about shipping her some to Maine :) They need something else up there other than lobster, right?

We had to hit up the paddle boats and Shelby Farms.  The day that we went, there were some pretty cool activities going on at the park.  They had booths set up of different organizations in the Memphis area and we were able to check out some exciting groups and what they are doing for our city.  I loved having Ruthie visit us, we showed her everything that is important to us.  We showed her our church building, took her to our favorite restaurants, and, really, just showed her everything about our life here.  We miss her so much and I think I might have gotten closer to convincing her to move here! Hehehehehehehe (or at least I hope I did). My dream is for us to buy houses (when we become millionaires or win the lottery, whichever comes first) for both of our moms on our street! I would just love that!

So, here's to you Ruthie, my only faithful blog follower, I love you and appreciate you in my life.  How did I get so lucky to not only get J, but also you as my family?

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
