I've been wanting to put our wedding video on the blog for quite some time.  And here it is:

I need to be honest here, but every time I watch this video I always have a huge smile on my face :) It is so neat to see all my friends and family in one place together. Tip to other people: make sure to get a videographer! THIS IS A MUST! Everything about my wedding day went by so fast.  I couldn't believe that I had been dreaming of this day since I was a little girl, and then it was over in what seemed like a split second. It is hard to have clear memories about the day, everything is a big blur in my head. All I remember is being extremely happy, stressed at times, and overwhelmed with everything.  I wish I could relive my wedding day every day!

Also, I want to give a huge thanks to Geoff and Clarise for putting this video for us! You guys are the best.

Hello Friends!

I have updated the look on my blog.
Yay!

Jeremy and I have arrived to Memphis (well you all know that by now).  But just a real quick update on us:

• We love the city.  It's always so fun exploring a new city.  Slowly but surely we are learning our way around.  I never realized how overwhelming it is to figure out a new city, considering that I've lived in Pinson, Oxnard, and Provo within a two year period.  As of right now, we know how to get to all the essentials: work, church, grocery store, and our most recent one-the mall! 
• Jeremy has started his new job at Valero!  He is such a hard working man and I'm grateful to have him as my husband.  So far his has enjoyed his time there.  He is learning a lot and snap chatting me while he is away :)
• Apartment. I LOVE our apartment. It is functional and our shower works (our previous one had some problems).  I'll have to post some pictures later.  We finally a real bed and some furniture.  It's definitely getting there and it feels like a HOME.
• LIFE is great! It's really nice not having to STRESS 24/7. I will admit that I had dreams, more like nightmares, of me turning papers late, doing presentations with nothing planned, and having to do 200 pages of reading by the next day. But then I wake up and remind myself that it is finally over.

Jeremy assembled all of our furniture. Grateful he is an engineer. 

Memphis is known for their bbq.  I'm not a big bbq girl, but we tried it. 

We liked it. 

I Won't Eat

I've been doing a lot of thinking concerning food. 

As a poor college student, I've been eating things that are probably not the best for your body. 

I grab whatever is fast and easy...and convenient. 

Here is my list things I won't eat EVER

(or at least for a while)

after graduation.

Quite honestly, I'm so tired of eating ALL of this. 

Sick of it. 

Don't call me up if you want me to come eat with you and this is on the menu!

1. Taco Bell

Taco Bell is the cheapest food option at the cougareat. So naturally I probably eat it the most because, well hello, I can spend $1.34 and have a filling dinner. 

2. Subway 

Whenever I have a foodie partner I always make sure I split my subway. 

I do like subway but I'm planning to take a break from it for a while. 

3. Pizza

I can confidently say that I will still be happy in life if I never have pizza ever again.  On Thursday, I had pizza for lunch, dinner, and for my snack.  There was so much free pizza on campus that day.  I was typing away in the Wilk writing my paper when this guy walked up and offered me free pizza.  Yes, I'll take it, I'm starving!

4. Sandwiches

Everyday for lunch I eat a sandwich. Ugh ugh ugh. I don't ever wanna eat a sandwich!!!!!!!  I'm always trying to find new ways to make my sandwich tasteful.  I go through phases where I add tomatoes  avocado, special sauces, and random cheeses.  It's a little exhausting trying to be innovative with sandwiches, com'on!

5. Pasta

Pasta is cheap and easy!  I swear I've eaten so much pasta that it could reach from here to Italy. 

Pasta? No thank you, I've had too much. 

6 months of love

I'm terrible at blogging. Ugh. 

But hey, I've been really busy with school and all that.  

And I really want to post about our 6 month anniversary celebration 

(not to mention that its been sitting in my drafts section awaiting publication)

So, here you go:

We went to IKEA to get some ideas on what we want our future home to look like.  

Lucky for me, and I guess Jeremy too, we like the same things. 

Except, for the fact that I'm OBSESSED with floral prints. hehe

For the rest of our date we wanted to stay in Salt Lake City. 

We got engaged and married there. 

It's a pretty big deal. 

It hit us that we aren't living in Utah anymore in the next couple of months 

and so we really wanted to spend time reliving our happy memories.

6 months later

NOT the hottest day of the summer.

Jeremy has always wanted a SEIKO watch. 

Not just ANY watch, but a SEIKO watch. 

I've been keeping my eye out for a good deal on SEIKO watches 

and I finally found the perfect one for my man. 

Isn't it so beautiful?

I loved seeing his face opening it. It was like Christmas morning all over again. 

So great. 

We also had dinner at The Roof Restaurant

It sits on the 10th floor of the Joseph Smith Building on Temple Square.

It was buffet style and oh you can most definitely bet that I ate up!

But really, this was the fanciest/nicest place I have ever eaten. 

They even had a live pianist the whole evening. 

My favorite part was overlooking the temple as the sun was setting, truly magical.

This was the perfect way to celebrate 6 months of marriage. 

I know it's not a significant amount of time but it's something worth celebrating.

Skiing adventures

Yes, yes, yes.

I know I'm rejecting my duties as a blogger, 

but I REALLY wanted to post this!

Over Christmas break we went skiing in Colorado.

This was my first time skiing. 

Throughout the break, everybody kept telling me to go. 

Apparently, this was the perfect snow for it 

(whatever that means)

After many, many days of thinking about whether or not we should skiing, mostly talking myself out of it while others kept talking me into it, I decided to do it! Hey I had nothing to lose right? Well maybe my leg or arm if  something went wrong. 

We woke up early and went to Wolf Creek for some skiing.  Jeremy joined me and took ski lessons with me even though he had skied plenty of times before.  

(He's really good at skiing and looked so good doing it.  Hey I married him!) 

After practicing going down a small hill, going backwards, stopping, and slowing down, our instructor said we were prepared to go up the bunny slope!  My instructor knew I was pretty nervous about this so she offered to sit next to me on the ski lift. As I'm waiting in line ready to board the ski lift, I panicked and seriously ran out of there! In the middle of my panic, I completely forgot about Jeremy and I heard him say,"I'm not gonna go anymore, I'm going over to my wife." (This seriously melted my heart when I heard him say that to our ski instructor). 

We then had an hour break to eat lunch and I was DETERMINED to conquer the ski lift.  I'm terrified of heights and unstable things = ski lifts.  

Round 2

This time I decided to sit next to Jeremy while our instructor sat in front of us.  I'm standing in line thinking about all the techniques taught in my psychology classes (breathing, thought process, etc.) and decided to try it out!  So here I am, standing scared out of my mind, next to my husband, and-WELP, I jumped to catch the ski lift! I closed my eyes and held onto him tightly and asked him to talk to me about happy things.  He talked about our wedding day and our future home and family.  I finally get the courage to take a peek and, yep, I was so scared being so high up!  Suddenly, we are getting close to the end of the line and it's time to get off the ski lift.  I can't remember what I was thinking at this point except for, "I really don't want to stay on this any longer. I. NEED. TO. GET. OFF. NOW." haha so I threw myself out of the lift (literally).  (OMG I'm still laughing just thinking about it).  Of course, I landed all over the place. 

But...fast forward to the end of the day-I was pretty proud of myself! I went on the slope 4 times and face planted 3 times getting off the lift!  Overall, I had so much fun and skiing wasn't so bad :) Thank goodness I had my prince charming by my side to help his damsel in distress.

25th birthday

My dear husband turned 25 this month!

We celebrated it by going running bright and early in -8 degree weather OUTSIDE.

Let's just say, we didn't last very long...so we took the running inside our apartment. 

For lunch we ate at Winger's in the mall and then watched The Hobbit.

We also celebrated Jeremy's birthday at Aunt Katy's. 

We made him an Oreo cake that I got from Pinterest!

finally done with finals

Finals Week.

Here are some memories...the happier ones.

We celebrated our good friend Conor's birthday at our place!

The theme? Mexican night.

Chips and salsa, chorizo tacos, tampico juice,

yummy chocolate birthday cake.

I also had the opportunity of witnessing this:

This guy was taking a survey about Christmas traditions on campus. 

At the end of the survey he would ask, "Do you do the mistletoe tradition?"

Then somebody from the second level would drop a mistletoe. 

This seriously had to be one of the funniest pranks ever.

Jeremy finished his finals early.

This was torturous for me.

Married life during finals week:

I stay studying while Jeremy watches movies.

I was completely jealous.
